Hi Paul,
Thanks for thinking of me and passing on the info. I have however looked into some of those ramps you were speaking about and I was shocked to see how expensive they are. It's aweful how they can charge such outragious prices for these thing when they know people need them, but I guess that's the reason they do. I have been watching in the classifieds for one though, no luck yet. I did get some good news today though. The guy who will be building the ramp isn't charging me. He said he remembers when his wife became disabled and so many people were nice enough to help them, so this is his way to give back what they were given. I thought was so nice of him.
I've met a lot of nice people in my life, but I have to say, in the last few weeks I have met some of the nicest, caring people ever. They have been so helpful and so sweet.
I just had an idea...maybe I could rent one of those portable ramps until mine is done. Never thought of that. Maybe that will be the cheap way out of it. Thanks for the idea!

If it wasn't for all these holes in my stomach and the small amount of of food I eat now, you'd never know that I just had surgery. I seem to be healing quickly. Doc said it'll take about 4-6 weeks for the insides to heal, but what do they know right?

I would have loved to have been a mouse in the corner of your hospital room

and watched all the LittleSis humor... Sounds like there were quite a few

comical moments! Hope your healing goes quickly and you can get back

If you would have been a little mouse in the corner of my hospital room, the humor would have turned into horror....although, that could have been humorous to some. Too bad you didn't get a chance to call me. From what I'm told, those calls were pretty interesting too. I was worried that nobody would talk to me ever again after that. Thank God this place is full of unconditional love
Yes, I have 5 holes in my stomach. Two around my belly button, one on each of my sides and one right between and just below my ribs. They are each about an inch long. Maybe I should have had the doc just stick some earrings in each one and I could have been able to accessorize by belly like a lot of others do. Instead of just a belly button ring, I could have a bunch of belly rings. Just a thought

So glad to hear you made it through this ordeal and still managed to keep yourelf, and everyone else laughing!! You have GOT to get that book published - it'll be a best-seller, if only because WE all rush out and buy a dozen copies each to read and give to our non-AS-suffering friends, who don't know what they're missing!!
