If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi everybody, I'm back home and so happy to be here. You all were so wonderful throughout this whole ordeal and I honestly don't think I would have done so well without your support. The replies from the posts and the phone calls were great. I have to say it wasn't a normal hospital visit though... Don't think anyone ever laughed in a hospital as much as I did. I got pretty silly. When I was asked by one of the resident docs what my disease was, I told him that my ankles were losing as pointed to my ankles..My hubby started cracking up and made it clear that I was talking about Ankylosing spondylitis. I can't believe all the things I said and did..my sis and daughter will never let me live it down. My daughter showed up at the hospital at least 3 times a day (morning, noon and night) I guess she liked the entertainment. As she was changing my bed pan I told her "now you can tell everyone that you saw as side of your mom this weekend that you've never seen before" She was there to get me cleaned up to start the day and made sure to tuck me in every night. I'll tell you, they gave me some pretty good drugs..sorry to those who called when I wasn't making too much sense. Hope you know that although I am often silly, I usually make some kind of sense. I'm doing very good..still very sore on the inside but that heal soon I'm sure. My bones are a little more sore than normal because we had a little accident when coming in the front door. Because I don't have a ramp my hubby had to carry me in the house, well, when he went to set me down in my wheelchair, the chair wasn't there...he didn't realize that until I was on the floor Visiting nurse came over today.. that's the only way the doc would let me leave the hospital early if I agreed to that, which I did. She was upset to see no wheelchair ramp (especially after hearing about me being dropped) and is going to do everything in her power to speak out and get me some help with it as well as getting someone over to here to help me on bad days..mainly housework, and just some things that are hard for me to do myself. I'm sure it'll help with taking some of the burdens off my hubby and son. She is also setting up a visit with someone to help get my home refinanced so I can remodel and get the ramp built. This woman was great. She even mentioned how suprised she was to see how positive and upbeat I am, considering all I have been through and have yet to go through. I gave most of the credit to KickAS for that, and she said it was wonderful that such a place exists. I told her that whining, complaining and just plane moaning and groaning about it wasn't going to get me anywhere, but this place is here for me if and when I ever to need to do that too. I always knew that KickAS was a wonderful place to be part of, but after this weekend, it has proved it even more...not only to me, but to the people around me. They realize just how important you all are to me, and thanks for showing I mean a lot to you all too. Going to try and catch up on some posts..wow, there are so many of them....going to take awhile. Thanks again for being the wonderful people you are. Hugs, Lisa

Hi Lisa, I'm home for lunch and have to get back to work. Just wanted to say how great it is to have you back. Sounds like you're doing great. That visiting nurse sounds like a visiting angel. Hopefully she'll get you that ramp and the other help you need. Take care.
Hugs, Connie

I'm glad to see you're back and doing well. I'm even happier to see that those dance lessons I gave your husband while you were in the hospital are paying off already. Step, step, drop....STEP, STEP , DROP AND THEN STEP , SPIN, DIP , DROP. stevec-they also serve who stand and wait

Lisa, you got sprung!!!! And dropped???? What a welcome home. So glad this is behind you and you're back to your old self again, and also glad you're going to be getting some help to get that ramp put in and someone in to do housework. I'd volunteer to run up the road to Vermont and help you out but there would be a few problems with the plan, I can't run very well and my housework abilities are not what they used to be Can you eat yet or shall I eat a chocolate bar in your honor? ((((HUGS)))) Cheryl Dogs don't want to know about every other dog you've been with

Hi Lisa, Glad to see your back, and feeling good. Sounds like your home nurse is an AS* Kicker in her own right. I sure hope she can follow through on some of those things, especially the ramp. It was great of your son and Midlsiss to keep us updated on your progress. Tell them they don't need to be strangers now that your back home. Take Care...Get caught up Chris
