Cheryl, you know how I feel about this whole situation as we discussed it.

You did not do anything to deserve this, and for someone to do this to you is just not fair.

It is not the first time that hurtful post have been posted, and I am sure that it will not be the last. Unless of course all the hurtful people go away, and I dont see that happening. Some people do say things not meaning to hurt, and then there are the ones that hurt just to hurt people.....

Know that you are loved by many here, and we all know how special and hard this time away was for you.

Count me in. You have been one of my inspirations since joining KA about a year ago. I don't know what I would do without this site and without you and the others here who are as supportive as you.
Please tough it through this muddle and remain here as our friend.
I am so sorry that you have been upset. I have had a small share of upset here lately too. I guess these things happen.
All we want is friendship and support and yes, sometimes even just the "kootchie coo " type{ as someone sarcastically said in another post )

On the basis of Loz's analysis of how this picture mix-up could have happened and in reading Patty's original post in this thread, I can see no planned attempt to make Cheryl feel bad about her posting of the pictures and I don't believe that Patty had any malicious intentions in telling Cheryl that the same pictures had been posted earlier. According to Loz, it looked like they had been.

There is no reason why Patty would want to do that anyway. She has her own problems to deal with and only one other on KickAS has similar concerns. I am also aware of the hint of double standards we sometimes see here and feel very disappointed that anyone would tell Patty to stop bringing her latest problems to KickAS but at the same time, we extend a great deal of support to others whose problems are also not related to AS.

In the last two weeks, we have seen the masses focus their attention and blame on specific targets and what have we gained from this? What we have lost from this is most probably two, and maybe more, ASKickers. It is too late for me to get into the specifics of what has happened here as it would only keep the ball bouncing and that would only hurt this site we all love.

The intolerence I am seeing is not what I am prepared to accept in belonging to KickAS. I may be the only one but I can see that there really are two sides to both situations we have had over the last two weeks and the fact that I seem to be the only one who can will likely be my reason for leaving.

Sorry Pete, especially since we just met only a week ago.

Must we do this again in such close proximity to the last incident? Tensions are running high, people don't feel well, everyone has their personal "soft spots" that others may not be fully aware of, words are misconstrued... can't we all be friends? I refuse to believe anyone meant any harm here. Be understanding, give a little, look from different angles.

I'm trying to get up the energy to make a long post, and when this happens I begin to question the supportive environment I'm used to finding here. Please, let's leave this behind and get back to our usual goings on.

And Patty, don't go anywhere... we need to make a serious trade. I give you marrow, you give me bone. Sound fair?

Don't leave. I must confess I've been busy and missed whatever happened here. I just know that few folks are cpable of calmly and rationally seeing both sides of most debates and if you do so then you are the treasure I know you are here.

Moreover the poised and intelligent way you express yourself can only help here when others get emotional or hurt.

Hostility and hurt are gonna surface anywhere, if good folks with the capacity to heal or offering healing advice leave then wounds will not get the care they need.

Coming to a place like KickAS isn't just for taking, it comes with duty to and that is to bring you're best whenever you can. I am not lecturing you George. I suspect I'd be better served learning from you than telling you much about anything. I am just hoping to remind you of your value here and hoping that you like I come back here not out of whimsy but out of care and some sense of obligation.

I for one have seen to many good folks go and as much as it is my loss I feel they lost more than they realize too. I'm not a fan of intolerance either but hopefully my patience when confronted with intolerance will teach by example.

Dear George, you must know you are one of my favourite people here at KA.

Yes, occasionally I too see some double standards. And in reality there exist members who harbour ill will towards others. Many may never care to learn the fine art of diplomacy. Intolerance will continue to lurk and sometimes pounce... not unlike the dreaded iritis!!!

Human nature is not without failing , but nor is it without positive attributes and mega potential. I've come to expect the full rollercoaster. Should we throw away the good? Expecting this doesn't mean we need accept it,... but make a greater effort to raise the bar.

The written word is prone to differing interpretations. The best we can hope for is to pause and consider one another's (possible?) reactions, and then try our personal best to 'do unto others'.

You are one of the people that make me look forward to signing on KickAS!! You have been one of my favorites since Day 1!! I'm so sorry about what happened, it was a terrible misunderstanding and YES, I do agree that there was a much more tactful way to approach the situation.
Hope everything is great for you......you deserve it!! I love your pool, it is awesome!
Do I need reservations for the guestroom?

PS If KickAS is High School some must still be in Elementary School.
