Dear all,

At 12:00 midnight Pacific Standard Time 1/1/2003 the creator and owner of KickAS, Pete (Dakotadan), will relieve me of my duty as chief administrator. At 8:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time 1/1/2003 I will stand relieved.
...there's gotta be an opportunity for a joke there:)

All the KickAS officials are volunteers. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my administrating team for their exceptional work, and to thank all the moderators for taking on a very awkward task and performing it so very well. I'd like to thank Pete for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to maintain and improve his site with absolute autonomy during his year away from administration. Most of all I'd like to thank all of you, the membership, for supporting this quite exceptional place over this past, occasionally difficult, year.

I believe we will continue to be succesful in providing a safe, supportive place where people with Ankylosing Spondylitis and their loved ones can share their experiences with, and learn from others coping with this disease. I hope to continue on as part of the administration team, helping Pete to take the place forwards as he sees fit.

My decision to take a step down is expalined by the pictures below, those boys deserve more time than their daddy has been giving them! Now, I wasn't going to share this, but I've added a picture of me with my Dad. Earlier ths year he was diagnosed with bone cancer (a terminal condition), so clearly more quality time with him is also a priority for me just now. We'll be spending the day together tomorrow
