Well folks, I've begun to cut down/reduce starches and fats from my diet. I say reduce because you can't expect a guy who lived out of his deep fryer to go cold turkey.

Now I am looking more to lose weight while eating better rather than reduce pain as I have become so tolerant to the pain that only major flares tend to disturb me. But even with the recent modifications to my diet, I have noticed one thing in particular. My stool is firmer than it has been in awhile. Now this is big, considering I have Crohns.
My wife has really gone gungho on changing things. Just little changes for now, like removing my hash brown and toast from breakfast, inserting fish into our pasta night (she LOVES her pasta, but is willing to forego for me

) and having brown rice instead of potatoes. Now this is a real kick to my heritage, as both my parents are from the potatoe capital of the world, Prince Edward Island.
I haven't noticed much else yet, but I have 2.5 months to lose 30 or so pounds. Well, I'll try anyways.
continued success to all others in their quests.........
