Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows about or has tried the autoimmune diet that Dr. Paul Saladino advocates (on Instagram etc). It's basically a diet of mostly grass-fed beef and fruit, eliminating vegetables. Even though I have been on a no-starch diet for many years, I was still getting pain so I tried his diet about a year ago. It's known to improve many autoimmune symptoms for psoriasis and other autoimmune issues. I thought it might help with joint pain from AS. Anyway, I did notice a huge improvement and have had almost no pain for the past year. Now, I am thinking of starting to add back vegetables and some nuts and seeds into my diet to get the benefits of the nutrients in these foods. I just wanted to check with this group to see if anyone else has followed Dr. Saladino's diet and what you might know about it and about adding back vegetables. I prefer not to have comments from anyone that doesn't really know about his diet, as I anticipate getting comments about how eliminating vegetables is unhealthy, but if you follow him, you'll see how he explains that the nutrients in fruit, meat, unpasteurized dairy, honey etc, are enough for good health. Thanks in advance.
