I have had remissions of my UC that lasted over 10 years. I am fine as long as I take 6-MP every day. When my liver enzymes became funky, we tried to reduce the 6-MP dosage and I quickly had a UC flare. Was I cured? I don't think so. I say my UC was being controlled by the 6-MP. I am also had long remissions of my AS,over the years. I sometimes went many years between flares. Those were remissions, not cures. Since I am in my 70's, I have a long period of time to look back over to trace the activity of my disease.
