i know how overwhelming it can seem at times; and i'm certainly at that point with the joint inflammation.

but for the GI issues; i truly had no choice. if i hadn't figured it out, and fast, i never would have been able to step out of the house.

fortunately for the GI issues, it was so obvious cause and effect. was able, within three months, to figure out what to and what not to eat.

but could ONLY do it through a food / symptom diary. otherwise, who knows how long it would take me.

but did notice that some meals made me feel better and some meals made me feel worse. so i knew there was a diet connection there.

the diet connection, if it exists for the arthritis, is so much less obvious, that i'm not sure i'd ever figure it out (though blood tests said dairy and eggs, so i steer clear of those).

plus, unlike the arthritis, the medicine (prilosec and mylanta) made a huge difference for the gastristis. diet added to the success. and psylliuum added to the success. and ginger and mint herbal teas did as well. and it did seem that if i got the gastritis (pain) under control, the bowels followed.

but truly, i had no choice but to figure it out. i would've been stuck in the bathroom (from the diarrhea), doubled over in pain (from the gastritis) if i hadn't.

but i know how you feel. so many days, i wish i could just pop a pill or take an injection and move on with my life. thankfully each day is a new day and if i can get a good night's sleep, i wake with renewed determination. and when i can't get a good night's sleep (due to the pain), i just get through the days, knowing that flares come and go, and i'll get through it. though when i'm in the middle of it, it sure doesn't feel that way. if nothing else, its all trying to teach me patience.
