Have you bought The IBS low-Starch diet by Carol Sinclair? it really is very helpful.
"For darker liquids or sauces.. pour tiniest amount of food on white saucer....you can dilute food with water if necessary"..the starch will still show up on the food, even if it is quite dilute."
Some where I also read that certain fruits can have starch near the skin and in the membrane
