Short version....25yo male, back pain, treated with NSAIDS to the point that he has blood in stool. He had seen a chiro, too.

Went to ER, labs were a bit flaky. Rehydrated, told him to stop naproxen and start omeprazole. 2 days in hospital. Bleeding stopped, but abdominal pain continued. So the doctor writing this gets the consult after a colonoscopy is abnormal.

Goes through a standard rheumy workup. THEN tells us that father has AS. Duh! And also Crohns. Now you know the end and it wouldn't be as fun to read.

DX: Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Psoriasis
Meds: MTX since Oct 2009, 15mg/week. Cimzia-restarted after 2 yrs away.
Epidural Steroid Injections x8; Lumbar Radiofreq Ablation x2
SIJ Steroid Injection x3; Bilateral Radiofreq Ablation SIJ x9
