Hi Rumble,
I am one of the people here that might actually say that I am satisfied with an X amount of relief. Am I ever really 'truely' satisfied though? No way!, but I am very relieved that some said treatment has brought me an X amount of relief, which brings me that certain level of satisfaction, or sense of accomplishment. I am also relieved because deep down I know that additional relief can come from elsewhere, somehow, from someone, and the current X amount of relief proves that it's possible. I don't consider a pain level of 5 as a 'success' but I just look at it as a step in the right direction.

When already dealing with a compression fracture and other bone structural problems, I would recommend going about it naturally anyways, whether a person continues a bone med or not, because while the bone meds were designed for osteoporosis, they weren't designed with AS induced osteoporosis in mind. Any slight fusion and kyphosis might be too much for any new growth that any of bone meds might have provided. They do have injections and infusions for bone meds too, but they have side effects as well.

Take care,
James
