happy mother's day!

talked to my mom last night,
she's always too busy on the holidays to track down,
being whisked away by my brother who lives nearby to her,
or my stepfather.

finally this year i was a good daughter, sent her flowers,
though i wish i lived nearby so we could get together,
that would be far better.
