A Pos and HLA B27+ Read somewhere that people with RA when they get HIV/AIDS find RA symptoms diminish - HIV greatly reduces CD4 T cells and these presumably drive RA. Wonder if this applies to AS as well. Not so sure about protection against HIV offered by being HLA B27+ Wouldn't like to test this theory, in any case many AS patients probably not up for much 'action' these days.

Dx Oct 2006 B27+ undifferentiated spondlyarthropathy (uSpA) with mild sebhorrhoeic dermatitis and mild Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) controlled by NSD since 2007.
