Yes, knew of this method of fundoplication. But the surgery does have side effects. Effects in digesting the food...rather nasty. You can goodle it up: side effects to/from...etc etc. Did see one, once, where it was talking about a new procedure, where they went in via the throat and placed a band around the neck of the aesophagous, but dammit, can't find the link again.

The 'band' was like to a band with beads on it. One tightened the band, which after swallowing, slightly tightened, then relaxed again to let new food down into the stomach. Stopped allacid coming back up. looked to be *excellent.

BTW. Was soooo glad to hear the doctor say that the problem was NOT with acid. Was a totally different problem - anatomy. Yes. These ant-acids do an awful lot of damage. They cause dependency. Get on em and it can take a whole year to get OFF of em. They also cause osteoporosis! Mine are in the back of the cupboard now. Refuse to take. Put up with the problem instead. Nuisance but not half such a nuisance as the medications would cause humpty

Did you have the fundoplication done James, or was it the H'hernia only. IF HH how are you doing?

OK guys. Take care. Have a good one.
