I can't decide whether you got good or bad news - which is worse, AS or severe spinal arthritis? And what is the difference? Are they talking about severe osteoarthritis?
Still - I'm impressed that he made such a good effort. Better than so many of the stories we keep hearing. Sounds like he's giving you something to deal with pain but not necessarily to deal with the underlying cause.
