Yes, we are a brave and caring bunch and I am proud to be one of you. I find myself thankful for the diseases I have because they have gotten my priorities right. They made me figure out what is important in this life and for that I am thankful. Also if it weren't for autoimmune diseases I more than likely wouldn't know any of you and I am so thankful for you and the positive things you bring to my life.
I was so pleased when I was so upset when our daughter was diagnosed with Arthritis/Lupus and she said, "Mom, don't worry. I don't. I know how to live with it because I have watched you all of these years." You never know who is watching and for what reason but I am thankful that I traveled the road first and checked out the ruts and bumps and ditches and the smooth highways few that they be. She does know they are there.
