I found 2 websites that said that a measurement of 3-5 cm is normal, but then I found 2 others that said 7.5 is normal. One stated that when AS effects the thoracic region, chest expansion is markedly reduced often to less than 2.5 cm. I would trust the 7.5 more than the 3-5. My guess is it's possible that it may depend on the size of the person too, but then again, I could be wrong.
Anyway, the site you gave was great..I downloaded the video, but I also needed to download quicktime player to view it, but when downloaded the video came out very clear. Anyone could do their own measurment now that we know where exactly to do it, how to do it and what the normal range is...we pretty much should be able to tell on our own if their is a possibility that fusing has taken place.
