I know this probably belongs in the alternative group but I thought I'd run it by the general forum in case anyone's interested.
I just arrived to the radon mines in Boulder, Montana. I'm underground, testing the wifi connection on my pocket pc. My first impressions:
The town - stunningly rustic and beautiful. All the services you need. The drive up 15 was gorgeous!
The mine facility - much more than expected. I'm underground and it's really cool (pun intended). very clean and orderly. a comfortable place to spend time. the air smells wonderfully refreshing. a little chilly but heaters in sectioned off areas. taking deep breaths of this amazing air!
The facilitators - Professional, accommodating, knowledable and extremely friendly.
Overall first impressions: Extremely happy.
I'll spend 4 hours here today and then visit the local hot springs facility down the road, do some world class trout fishing on the Boulder River, maybe even go for a day hike with my dog.
About the only thing bad is that I really miss my wife and two babies back in New Hampshire.
I'll post follow-up reports in the alternative forum as my ten days progress.
