Over on the Braintalk Forums, they have a very active Chronic Pain forum; actually, that is just one of literally dozens of forums there, as the board was set up to provide a forum for every type of neurological condition there is. I used to go to that forum almost as often as I visit KA, but I hardly go there anymore, simply because I gound that my online time was best spent here. I did run into a couple people there who had AS, and I was sure to tell them about KA. Most had heard of it already, and one or two even said they regularly check out the forums here but were just lurkers.

Even though I like KA much better, the CP forum did have one nice thing going for it that pertains to this post: At any given time, there are at least one pharmacist and two doctors who post on the board quite regularly. One of them goes by the handle Pharmacist Steve, and from what I have read of his posts, he is an absolutely terrific guy who is always willing to answer questions that are posted on the forum. Sometimes I can't believe how detailed his answers are, even though he receives at least a couple questions per day, or so it seemed. If anyone here has any questions about their meds, I am sure he would be willing to answer them if you went over there and asked--just put his name in the subject line of the post. If anyone does go over there, no point in mentioning my name as the referring person, as he would have no idea who I was. As I said, I don't really post there anymore, and I never talked directly to him. To post there, you will have to join the main forum just like you did here at KA.

As an added bonus, for all the KA pet lovers, there is also a vet over there who regularly posts on the boards too, and he has made a point of letting people know they can either post there or email him questions any time about their pets. Unfortunately, he is a forum member because he suffers from a chronic pain problem, and sometimes he doesn't post for a while. During those times, he did say people could still email him and he would get to their questions whenever he was able. If I remember correctly, his screen name is jtroy, and he is just as nice a guy as Pharmacist Steve is.
