If one more person tells me to drink orange juice I'm going to scream. On Thursday, I started getting the typical symptoms of a cold- scratchy throat, stuffy nose, etc. Friday it turned into a full cold and ever since I've been flat on my back. Friends keep telling me to drink Orange Juice and i'll be on my feet in no time... If only it was that easy. I'm currenly on Pred which surpresses my immune system even more; along with a cocktail of other surpressant drugs. It's not as easy as to drink O.J and rest! I faithfully drink a glass of O.J every morning and vola, sickness has still arisen!

I am starting to go stir crazy, seeing the four walls of my room day in and out. I have had to go to campus yesterday and today, yesterday for 1.5 hours to present to act out my piece in my group's play that we wrote based on a traditional Indian Epic and today to write a grammar test.... THe test was only worth 10% of my mark and was a no brainer so i didn't bother putting up a fuss about writing it another time- just got myself there, wrote, got it marked straight away (i passed, enough said) and came straight home- fresh air was also good for the system.

Now the cold has surpassed my nose and throat had has made it's way into my chest/lungs which makes breathing a living nightmere. Phnomonia at 1 year of age left a nice 2 cm scar on my left lung which having any time of chest cold brings asthma like symptoms... I had great doctors who provided me with lots of "just incase drugs" so i can self diagnose effectively. Naturally, lying in bed day in and out has brought the A.S. monster into full swing. I try to do stretches, but it's impossible.

The only good thing about the timing is that we have tomorrow off due to ANZAC day and then a nice long study break for 10 days (i'm suppose to be working on submitting 6 major assignments during that week)... They will all get done i'm telling myself, somewhere between coughing and sleeping- In procausion to getting sick around this time, i started all my assignments way early and most are finished and at the state where if they need to be handed in, they can be! Thank God for the proactive skills I had on this one!

6 weeks left and I can call myself an official teacher... Being sick is the hardest when i'm so far away from home. Just need a mom hug to get me through the week.
