Mine never seemed to cause a sore throat. It really seems to be related to some of my AS flares. I get neck stiffness, ear and jaw pain, ringing in my ears, and swollen lymph nodes. Haven't talked to the rheumy about it yet...Not currently having an issue with it, it goes away with the flare, too.
