I would probably first be offended and then I would probably ignore it, knowing it was ignorance on her part. I would think about it a few days and not lash out. It is so easy to say things in an email that we later regret.

I am sure she thought you would think it was funny and it was definitely NOT funny. I think just totally ignoring it would give her an idea.
