I would hope that everyone learned their lesson after the Oklahoma City bombing...it's much too early to lay blame on ANYONE for this unprecented horrible act, rather acts. Although all signs would seem to point to our nemesis in Afghanistan, the US didn't know this attack was coming, despite repeated warnings, so there's little hope that they could possibly know who might have a hand in this just yet. However, the US has disavowed responsibility for the Afghan bombings, and I am inclined to believe that. My guess is that an Afghan faction, possibly Bin Laden and his cronies, are making a simultaneous grab for power in Kabul. What better diversion than to get the eyes of the world looking upon the Taliban with a suspicious eye and then attack to gain control?
While it is as unfair of me to speculate about what's going on in Kabul, as it is to lay the blame on anyone at this point, the possibility does exist, and is not impossible. Especially considering that the Taliban is split among those who support the terrorists who have free reign in their country, and even exhert no small amount of control over the ruling Taliban, and those who are as hateful of the US as they are of the foreigners who espouse how they should practice thier religion and how they should run their country....leaves one to guess at what is happening. The people who are caught in the middle are, as usual, the average citizen of Afghanistan who just wants the Taliban to go away and let them live a normal life, especially the women. They are the most oppressed women in the world.
No matter who turns out to be responsible for the truly horrendous events of today, my heart goes out to the families of all of the people who have become innocent victims of godless people who's hearts are full of such blind hatred that they could do such a thing to other human beings. It makes me ashamed to be a human being.
My condolences to all. Darren.
Take Care...
