Linc,
Sounds like you had a rockin day..lol
I have been to New York only twice, but I loved it!
My husband and I want to come back, I told him it would be great to go when they get the memorial for 9/11.
We live in Oklahoma and have the OKC memorial and it is breathtaking. They still have pieces of the fence up with thousands of notes, stuffed animals and trinkets from all over the world.
When you go there at night and see the 168 chairs lit up....I still can't go there without crying.
We didn't know anyone personally who was killed, but the picture of Baylee Almon and the firefighter that was shown around the world looked like he was holding my daughter Tori. Tori and Baylee were the same age and their birthdays were just 1 week apart. I still can not look at that picture without coming unglued. Tori is 11 now, it is still hard to believe that it has already been 10 years since it happened.
When that happened, we thought it was about the worst thing that could have happened.
That was until we saw 9/11. I still can't talk about it without crying.
How are the people of New York handling the aftermath? Do New Yorkers seem alot more guarded now? When we were there we went up on top of the twin towers, I remember how scared I was thinking if I were to fall, I don't think any of us can ever imagine the horror those people went thru that day, God Bless all their Souls.
Sorry, didn't mean for this to turn into a book.
How was the sushi, I keep trying to get my family to try it, they are all like yea...right..lol
Linc, I might have to fly to New York sometime just so I have someone to have sushi with..lol
I am so glad you had a wonderful day, you deserve it!
