Diagnosed in 87 with AS, back pain since a teen.
After attending a support group meeting in Phoenix, Az. and realizing hey! there are
other people out there with AS. I met Dotyisle who introduced K AS to me and
my Mom who is my biggest supporter.
I have been on NSAID's since 87, just started Enbrel last week and after two injections,
I noticed less stiffness in the mornings. I am concerned about the side effects of Enbrel,
will cross that bridge when that time arrives.
I have neck and back fusion, both hips replaced since September 2002. Now no hip
pain, but activities very limited due to neck and back pain, what's new??? We all have
learned to live with the pain, I am bent over, and have been on SSDI for three years.
Hated that part, was very hard to stop working, but could not continue manual labor.
