Talk about bugs Rox, I had me a run in with a few different species of wasps/hornets creatures yesterday. I was banging a new stud into place in my shed when I felt something hitting my head when Donna yells out to take cover because of wasps. Turns out we had a paper nest bigger than my head under the eve, and I guess I was ticking them off!
Well, thank goodness nobody got stung, and after a whole can of raid, I removed the nest to show off to the neighbourhood kids, with larvae and baby wasps trying to chew their way out! More raid and a heave ho into the bush. I happen to notice more wasps hanging around the shed, and upon further investigation, in total, there were 6 nests! 6! The other 5 were much smaller, but I had to go to the store to get more raid! It's a wonder nobody got stung! Sheesh! This is 2 years in a row that we've had wasps, but never in this quantity!
