If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi, I'm new here... and happen to be eating a fugi persimmon with a whole bag full of them in the fruit basket. Wondering now if they are 'legal' on the NSD. No, I don't have any iodine yet. Where do you get THAT? gonnagetwell

Hi, gonnagetwell:
Persimmons are dodgy and must be tested before consumption. Iodine is universally available at pharmacies as 'tincture' typically 4% or higher.
Fruit starch is, according to Carol Sinclair, quite pernicious so it can cause a real setback. Just save a sample and I hope You did not cause any trouble.
Good Luck and Good HEALTH, John

How about pomegranites? Just ate one of those too... I don't think either one causes flares. I think I am flaring now because I had a round of antibiotics for a skin infection last week and also because I ate some starch before I realized brown rice and beans were on the 'bad' list. Thanks for responding John, I appreciate it. Lisa

Hi, Lisa:
Glad the persimmons were apparently safe; results should show up within 24 hours. Pomegranates are inherently safe and should, like all melons and grapes, not require testing.
The wrong antibiotic at the wrong time can be devastating, but I have used them as an important adjunct with NSD to great advantage.
Hopefully, You will not need to be so strict and will achieve some gut healing enough that You can soon tolerate the occasional beans and brown rice. It took me many years due to NSAID damage.
HEALTH, John
