If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

We left the house yesterday to go to the hospital to visit and my husband started a different direction. I asked where we were going and he said "You'll see." Well, he drove across town and pulled up in front of the New Balance store and said "You may not remember what a difference the new shoes made for you last time but I do." We went in and I bought new ones just like my old ones but updated and also new inserts. Good news is last night my feet did not hurt. I got up this a.m. and they did not hurt. I am so thankful and so blessed with my sweetie. He told me last night that he expected me to NOT put off buying what I need and I told him that I really did not realize that my shoes were wearing down. I think he was right with the fact that I need to replace them more often than he does because of my problems. Anyway I had to share with you what a blessing for me here at Thanksgiving. So.....if your feet really hurt, check out your shoes and your inserts. Blessings. Possi

Possi - I love it! What a great story! Your lovely lovely husband - what a sweetie. Now you can dance around the house. I'm just tickled! As you can see by the increase in my postings today, I'm finally beginning to do a bit better after nearly three weeks of being completely worn out. Could barely manage to read KA, let alone post very much! My improvement (really today has been the first fairly good day in three weeks) combined with your story makes me feel very hopeful again. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks, Sue! The problem has been linked to withdrawing from opioids. I got stuck with horrible insomnia and all-over restless leg syndrome. First week got only about 3 hours sleep a night, second week got 5-6. Kept falling asleep at work - it was horrible, I was so groggy. I started having to take naps during my lunch breaks which was quite embarrassing and even so, couldn't keep my eyes open. In the evenings I couldn't move - just collapsed in a heap. I began to think I wouldn't be able to keep going which seemed absurd given that I've struggled through until now, even doing school and working full time with much more serious pain. Finally, the insomnia seems to be settling down and the twitching muscles are improving so I had the energy to do a little bit round the house today. I've been waiting to feel good enough to celebrate finishing my degree. During the final weeks, I kept picturing how great it was going to be when I was finished and I could tackle all these other projects I had lined up. Didn't happen because I've just been too exhausted. Anyway, hoping I've turned the corner this weekend.

Yeah Possi! Isn't it nice when someone takes extra special care of you- he sounds like a sweetheart. So awesome you two have each other. Yeah Wendy! Great to hear you are feeling better! Switching or quitting meds is sooo hard- really glad you have turned the corner and ready to celebrate. Take some time for yourself- don't tackle other projects too soon, sometimes the little things can mean so much. Have a great day girls- new feet and an open schedule- sounds lovely!! Anna

Great news Possi and Wendy, and Sue!! So glad to hear the good news!
I bought really expensive custom orthotics ($240) and you are right, they did get hard and uncomfortable after about 12 months. I won't ever go that route again. Now I buy Dr. Scholl's gel total footbed inserts and they are so nice ($9) !!
What a sweet hubby to be looking after you!

They are 1123 which is the same ones I had. I just didn't realize that I had been wearing them as long as I had. They still felt supportive but evidently they weren't. Time just gets away. They are expensive (to me) but worth every penny of it. I just probably would never spend that if he didn't encourage me.
Blessings Possi
