I don't get it! I thought there would be some inspiring life changing helpful tips here, and all I got was a test?

Laura,

I think Paul's picture is missing and he was testing to see if it was appearing on this little-used forum.

I have racked my brain to think of a tip, and I think I have one for you: I have been having success SITTING on my heating pad lately. Sound funny? The heat really radiates right into SI area. It's nice.

Take care!

Kristin, Thanks for the tip. I sit with a heating pad along my back whenever I can, but not actually sit on it!! I also use an inverter in my car to plug a heating pad into for long car rides, and that really, really helps!! See ya! Laura

Heres another heating pad tip.

When lying on a heating pad, put a pillow under your knees. This will make your back flatter against the heating pad and makes your knees more confortable. Also, I find that putting something small, such as a small teddy bear or a washcloth under the heating pad just at the small of your back puts the heat right where it needs to be.

Hope this works for others.

And thatks for the tip, Krystyn, I'll try it. Especially when my buttox is aching. (but thats could only be because i'm such a pain in the glutis maximus, who knows)

Keep on keepin on Kicking some AS

Take care my friend,

I hope this finds you well,

Daniel

Laura,

Tell me more about this car inverter - sounds good!

I sit on it, and then curl it up so it's on my SI and under my bum - you're not supposed to sit on them...

Daniel,

My heating pad (which is electric) has a big warning not to lay on it... FYI.

Not as satisfying to lay it on you, but that's what it says to do.

Hi Laura,

The inverter idea for a heating pad is a good idea. The only problem is that I will have to fight with Pookie (hubby) over it. When we travel on long trips...last one was 3 years ago...Pookie always takes his laptop and it is plugged into the inverter. I wonder if there is a way to plug it all in to the same inverter. I am going to have to look into it. Thanks for the tip.

Take care and huggie wuggies,

Lisa

Hi Daniel,

That is a great idea about the stuffed animal. At PT I lay on heated pads and they put my feet up on a cushion. I didn't realize that if you elevate your feet it allows even more of your back to be on the pad but also puts less pressure on your back.

Take care and huggie wuggies,

Lisa
