So I have AS, on a biological, got a dactyl iris of one finger and now on some MTX too. I've been tapering that now that finger is settling, but something strange happened to me last week. I did the Jillian Michael 30 day shred (have done the workout twice before without any issues) and despite doing is on my carpeted basement floor while wearing good running shoes (there is a lot of small jumping movements) I spent the next 2 days with extremely painful feet, the metatarsal heads (balls of both feet). I had to wear squishy soft shoes all the time and they were very sore. This has never happened before.
I'm pretty paranoid about my symptoms and diagnosis- I am hla B27, rf is negative, Ana is 1:320-1:640.

Should I be worried? Now I'm scared to try it again, although I know I'm over-reacting. Could this be an early sign of more small joint involvement?

for me, it moves around. that part of my foot has killed in the past, not so much any more. will it come back? probably. then it'll probably move on again.

but yeh, always scary when something really flares. always worried it won't get better. but it always does.

well, most things. the various enthesitises.

the SI joint is a bit worn, so easier to throw it off. and the osteophytes in the neck get worse, slowly.

but otherwise, things come and go and come and go......

Look up enthesitis in A.S. It can really affect our feet. The biologics usually keep this in check but I was off for awhile and back on the start up. Until then, I use a compounded cream just so I can walk and not end up back in my wheelchair.
