A year ago I was 30lb heavier I had trouble walking, turning my neck, bending and in constant pain because of A.S. I finally got into a rhuematogist started biologics, which didn’t fix everything but they helped reduce the inflammation enough that I could start moving again. I changed my diet to low starch non processed foods, I take ACL every day, I walk lots, I do yoga daily, I exercise my range of motion daily and I limit my sitting and work using a standing desk.

It was not one single item on it is own that helps, and if I remove any item I can notice stiffness come back, but all the effort is worth it! Instead of 24hours in pain and slowly becoming crippled, I put in a couple hours a day of effort and I feel great! I can play with my kid, do sports again and I am not in constant pain. It is a slow journey in the beginning but step by step with diet, acl, exercise and stretching(yoga) it improves.

There is hope for A.S but you have to change your whole life style and be willing to try.

A few months ago I started putting up videos on you tube of exercises an practices I personally do that help my A.S. These really help me and hopefully they help others too with A.S.

Hello. I just saw your video on the exercises that helped you. What type of pain did you experience while you did these exercises? I am recently diagnosed and am lost and trying like crazy to quickly educate myself to avoid the hard core drugs my rheumatologist is recommending. Anything you may be able to share would be great. Thank you.
