Hi all!
I have been without internet access for about 4 months due to a storm that came our way and we had to get a new computer. I just skimmed through some of the posts and was so sad to hear the Cristina is having such a difficult time. I will make sure I get a card and note off to her. I have been acquainted with her on this board since Brian had it.
I have had some changes in health, both good and bad. I have been having difficulty with carpal tunnel as someone was discussing on one of the posts. It has been a real "pain"--pun intended. My left hand is numb most of the time, but I am trying to avoid surgery. The doc gave me a cortisone injection and I get to wear the lovely black splint that doesn't clash with any of my outfits. But I am still avoiding the surgery, at least for the time being.
I also have been decreasing my MTX for a couple of months and my rheumie just decreased it again. He said if I go the next 2 months without a flare, then I can get off of it altogether. I have been taking it for about 5 yrs., so that is great news for me. Of course, the flares have stopped, because I am fully fused, which is not good, but that means my pain level is waaaaayyyyyy down from what I have had for the last 30 years--(wow! that makes me sound soooooo old!)
Anyway, just trying to catch up with what all of you are up to. I usually don't post much, but I am always logging in to see what all of you have to say.

Hey Laurie , Glad you got a new computer and got back on line ! Here's a link about carpal tunnel http://www.mercola.com/2002/jul/27/carpal_tunnel.htm . My wife used to work sewing Lee blue jeans about 15 years ago and she had carpal tunnel trouble , they gave here some kind of vitamine therapy for 2 weeks ( she made constant trips to the bathroom during this two weeks ) but the carpal tunnel problems were 90 percent better . My wife has carpel tunnel problems(Neurologist said it was worst case he had seen)..She started taking mega does of B-6 with great results.. Wecome back LB!!!!  David
