Sorry I have not been around much, I try to lurk when I get the time. I have been very busy. I went to an orthopedic in Sept, and had some X-rays done also had some MRI's, this is when the trouble began. I was called the next day after MRI and told I need to pick up the pics and report and see an ENT, ASAP, Well in real life ASAP means in Oct some time. So in Oct I went to see an ENT well she almost fell on the floor, it seems I have a small tumor in my left sphenoid sinus, not the problem, I have a thumb size tumor in my head pressing on my pitutary gland in fact the gland is pushed so far into my brain it left what they call an empty cella. not bad in itself but it is causing brain fluid to leak into the empty cella and hormonal changes in my body. I am leaking milk!!!! I spent 6 days in hospital on IV and bed rest while (sorry failed to mention a large arracnoid cyst next to the tumor) the talking heads decided my fate. The biggest head, the nero surg, said to leave it alone and gave me a tumor shrinking pill! I had no idea that such a thing exsisted. My Dr. called me the other day and is not happy with the approach the neuro is taking because I am nauseous and have very bad migranes and my eyes and blurry and I fall down alot speech probs too. Oh yeah not one of these are supposed to be part of this tumor according to the Neuro, only thing is my Dr and my daughter (med student) found a web site with all the symptoms I am having and the ones I am starting to have related to the tumor, So now I am going to truck to the university of Miami and let them have a go at it. I failed to metion lesions on both kidneys and my liver is still bad too. Good news though our government has decided that I am disabled and I am getting my SSI. Also my husband gave me a new silky pup, we call her Hazel. She is a little pistol. Oh my I am sorry for this being so long. Sorry to hear of your troubles. These surprises are way too much on top of the AS. As the recipient of one of these surprises this year, I may have some info to share or at least a shoulder to cry on...look for a PM.
