Thanks Lori,

That is GREAT news about Eric. How did you know that he would do ok without the med. Did the doc just decide to try him without the med? Did he go off slowly or "cold turkey"?

Hi Betty

Good news indeed !!!!!
Are there side effects ?
I don't know anything about Enbrel - now I am ashamed because I should have asked Lori all about it.
If it is this good - I'm sure a lot of us will be asking questions at our next dr. visits.

Hope you continue to do well

Take Care

Maggie

Enbrel is a DSAID instead of a NSAID
Side effects have been reported.
I have had only minimal problems. Still unsure if they were Enbrel related. None the less, I do not experience side effects at the present time.

It is hard to get insurance to pay and it is very expensive.
Enbrel has had a delay in production......it will not be available to new people until next year at the earliest.

Take care

Betty

Hi Betty

Erics Rhuemy decided to take him off the medicine. I was more than a little nervous, but it was worth it.

Eric was on one half shot 2X a week. One shot total per week. He is a small child, and when he had the full dosage he would get ear infections, or a cold. So the doctor reduced the intake by half and he never had another problem.

He just stopped cold turkey, and we have never looked back.......

Some people here gave me reason to think before I put him on Enbrel, and that was a real good thing because it made me do even more research than I proberly would of, but as far as I am concerned......It was the best thing that I could of done to give him back his childhood.

Good luck to you
Lori

That is great. I'm so happy for Eric. I hope this med can do the same for everyone.

Betty that is just wonderful, I was on E for 2 years or more I felt so good I couldn't belive it. My liver enzymes elevated and the doc could not figure it out so I had to go off the E. I miss it I still have a box of 24 in the fridge and am tempted to take it and damn the liver I don't even know if that was the cause, and neither does the doc. As soon as my enzyms go back down I am going to hit the needle!!! LOL. I hope everything stays good for you. All the best. Peace. Rose
