I am happy to say that my energy continues to improve each week with the NSD. I have to believe that pre-NSD that my medications and diet resulted in a vitamin or mineral deficiency somewhere. That only all the complex carbs I consumed fueled me up adequately.

I know that sulfasalazine deprives the body of folic acid..... so this may be one. I may ask my naturopath next time if there is any test to determine vitamin/mineral deficiencies.

Has anyone here performed such a test?

Take care,

Tim

Hi Tim,
I had a hair analysis done. It was pretty cheap. I believe around $45 US. It showed I was deficient in some areas like Manganese, Potasium, etc. It showed also excess Aluminum, Calcium ( !!), Mercury (why my Dr wants my fillings removed). I will look up the material if you want more info. My Dr said this shows LONG term deficiencies/excesses since maybe even childhood. If you want one for extreme current deficiencies I would think blood work would be more accurate.

Hi Tim,

Glad to hear the energy is improving. The change in diet causes so many changes. Suppliments are probably nessecary for all who eat commercially grown food and commercially hybridized crops. (I dont know of anyone who doesn't)

Janet, I saw the comment on Mercury and i had to post this link. Dr. Mercola's site has a lot to say about nutrition and Mercury amalgams as well. There many articles related to both here. The internet newsletters from Dr Mercola are very interesting.
