Has anyone come up with a way to shave their legs w/o having pain all day afterwords?
I tried this Sally Hansen brand of hair remover and it acctually works but it is VERY powerful stuff. I have to wear rubber gloves when putting it on and it breaks the top of my legs out and I go around stinking all day with my legs feeling icky (even after showering). I can't stand wax. I just need a way to shave. I've gotten to where I shave with the shower on as hot as I can stand it. I turn so that the water sprays onto my lower back. That makes it easier. I don't hurt as bad afterwords, but it is still hard. I was just wondering if anyone else had a better idea.

Thanks

Amanda

I actually let my husband do it for me--and actually--he really doesn't mind Ü! Laurie

I've been trying to get my hubby to do it for me, as well. He's a big chicken, though. Thinks he'll kill me with the razor, I guess.

My husband won't do it either. He says, No I'm afraid I'll hurt you. But then he expects me to cut his hair for him. I've tried to get him to do it for me, but he just won't. I guess he'd rather feel my hairy legs than shave them.

I've seen the way my husband shaves his face, and I would rather he didn't attempt my legs! What I have done is sit on the edge of the bathtub with the water running. I don't have to bend over as far and it seems to work. I'm not sure if I get complete coverage that way but I think it works OK.

Hey there Amanda!
You can always choose to be hairy like me , I haven't had my legs shaved since my hip replacements...too much trouble! JP

Good question.
My husband got me an electric shaver and I sit on my bed and shave my legs. It was one of the best gifts he ever gave me.

I have the shower running on my back and my foot up on the edge of the tub. I also tend to shave in the evening, when I'm most flexible. As for the "complete coverage" issue, I tend to think of it as "managed forestry" rather than "clear cutting" --Jeri

Jeri,
I loved the "managed forestry" rather than "clear cutting" Too funny.
I remember when a friend of mine was dating a man who loved hairy legs.... at the time I thought "ewwwww"..... now am wondering if he has a brother
I shave mine when absolutely necessary.... am lucky in I don't have much leg hair so hasn't been too much of a problem for me.

Have a great day

Pam

My very blonde daughter has decided it's time to start shaving. It's blonde, why worry!!! The hair below my knees is really dark and that's all I've ever bothered with. Shaved them this morning, but only because it's getting warm enough to wear something that doesn't reach my ankles. LOL! The rest of the time, oh well. I sit on the side of the tub and use a shower massage to rinse. My hubby fashioned an extension for my razor so I don't have to reach as far.
