Hi Tim, very good to hear from you. My Wheelchair now lives in that much-maligned shed lol. Yes, to your astute observation, I do not have Parkinson's, but some elements of it, total and incessant dizziness being the worst of it. The neurologist found a damaged blood vessel in my brain, but failed to find the actual brain. The damaged one feeds the Basal Ganglia, the brain part that controls speech, which has deteriorated. Hand skills: I can teach piano but not play it, so much are my hands affected. The Basal Ganglia apparently controls all points South, hence the inability to walk on all but the most familiar terrain, even the familiar is difficult now. And some supremely embarrassing effects that do not bear talking about in company. All allegedly caused by, you guessed it. AS and, in my case, the extensive surgery. John, in response to my initial post, said that he suffers from the dratted dizziness; he has AS worse than me and has had much more extensive surgery, too. Forgive me, John, for quoting you, probably inaccurately. Lovely to hear from you, Tim. England are woeful in my view and will probably not win against Mexico. We were lucky to go through to the last 16 against DR Congo. US have done well. I thought America didn't go in for much Soccer - as you call it - But I remember that SteveC said that his triplets had a go at it. Am I correct in my memory that Steve said he was the trainer of a girls' team? Lovely to address those remaining on KA these days.
