Depending on what your TSH was before, a dramatic increase in coconut oil could raise your TSH to an unacceptable level. (Increased coconut oil is a good thing for the thyroid if your Thyroid Stimulating Hormone is low - but not if your TSH was already normal to high normal.) Other foods on the NSD can also have negative effects on the thyroid. This includes cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, kale, many greens, etc), Tofu, other soy products, coffee, alcohol, and flax.
