Saturday, my sister came by and after visiting a while, we decided to go get some Mexican food for lunch. We visited more during lunch and hubby and I came home and she left the other direction to go visit a friend.

The first light, she broadsided a big car and ended up in ICU with a brain bleed and huge severe knots and bruises all over her. Possibly a broken arm. They did a trauma scan but the dr. wants to take a closer look at her arm this a.m. They were more concerned about her brain then.

She did get moved out of ICU last night. They will be doing another CT this a.m. to see if there is any more bleeding.
She is so sore and hurts so bad, she hasn't been able to get up yet.

She doesn't live here and the street corner is notorious for accidents because the light is hung so high because of a hill on the cross street. It was her fault but it was an accident. The other lady was fine and walking around and laughing and talking. We are so so thankful for that. We are also thankful that she was driving an 83 Jeep Cherokee. I drove one of those (in 83) and they are heavy heavy vehicles. I am sure protected her. My sis was driving a new Toyota SUV but it did not hold up like the older Jeep.

We are so thankful she is ok.

A stressful weekend.

Hope you are all well. Have a wonderful week.

Hope she has a quick recovery.

Glad she wasn't hurt any worse and that the other person is OK too.

Huggs smile

I didn't see on FB what the results of the new MRI were. Hope it was good news. Tough breaks, but I know your faith and suspect she has some of the same. smile Gentle hugs for both of you.

She is doing good Theresa. She got released last evening and is at her daughter's here. She can't drive yet. She is terribly sore but at least her brain bleed is ok.

Thank you. She has a strong faith and she is a tough cookie to boot. smile

Thank you all. The bleed is ok. Her memory is not good at all yet but I think it will gradually get better. She is very sore.

She just got out of the hospital when her kids let us know that her oldest daughter has aggressive breast cancer. Boy, it just keeps on sometimes. She has a treatment plan and is still getting some scans etc. done. She is 40 and has 4 beautiful little girls. She is an Occupational Therapist and has always taken care of herself and eaten right and is a runner. You just can't stop everything.

She is to have 3 kinds of chemo at once; every two weeks for 2 months and then a double mastectomy and then radiation. They are really hitting it hard. She just lives a mile or so from us. I can't do a lot but I can run kids to activities.

It is just really a stressful time.

On the good note; our daughter from FL is coming this Thursday. We can hardly wait for that.

Hope you all had a good weekend and that a good week is ahead of you.

Sorry to hear the hits just keep coming. Know your faith is strong, so let that guide your thoughts. Gentle hugs. You be careful, too, Possi, while out shuttling kids around.
