Hi Lisa,

I would call Medicare. Last time I checked with them they cover biologics including my Remicade. Our insurance has stayed the same so I use Medicare as my secondary. Sorry yours got changed.

Hi pea
I think it's covered just how much and what they expect me to pay we really can't afford anything and my Actemra is about $5000.00 a month but I guess it's worth a call
How have you been doing? Think about you often
Hugs! Lisa

Medicare pays for my Remicade. What is nice about that is it is paid for by the part B, not by the RX insurance.Last year, I reached the max out of pocket by May. My husband's company is changing our insurance and we are having to find a Part D insurer by April 1. My biggest problem is that my Butrans pain patch is only covered by a few companies. I will be paying $70.5/month with $4316 out of pocket. My pain management Dr. is afraid of lousing his license, so he is trying to get most of his patents on Butrans and Ultram and off the usual opiates. We are lucky that hubbies employer is paying for most of the cost. I just don't know how long the company will continue to provide for it's retirees.

Hi Lisa,

I hope you get the biologic problem resolved. Remicade does have a financial support program. I have Enbrel support now and pretty good insurance. Even with that, about a third of our gross income goes towards medical bills and most of that is me.

Nice to see you here and hope you are not in too much pain. I can't imagine having to quit or even the notion of quitting a biologic.

How is the weather by you? we are at 3 below with a crisp wind. Snowed here this afternoon but not a whole lot.

Take care, Lisa smile
