If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Friends For last 15 days I was going through with right knee pain. I could not walk properly. and could not bent towards backward and have to go to office as I'have resigned and on notice period. Very painful days Guys I changed my doc and after looking on my entire problems, he has given me "DEPO-MEDROL" 2ml injection on knee. I'm feeling 90% relief at the same time he removed pus and sent it to laboratory for pus culture report. Please please let me know what precautions I should take? was my decision was correct to have injection on knee (as my mother do not want that, as she was worried about my future) Any other information regarding this injection adnd helpping tips please reply me. tablets I have been given was: Saaz(500mg), Ezact(60mg), folic acid(5mg), calcium/vitamin D3 tablets. Thanks

Hello, Raju:
The 2mg Depo-Medrol directly into site is not so bad, but it cannot be repeated for at least a year, so that is a concern.
If Saaz is sulfasalazine, (we usually abbreviate it SSZ) I will comment: It should be enteric-coated (in US it is "Azulfidine-EN and UK perhaps "Salazopyrin-EC"), and You should be ramping-up the dosage to achieve a 'therapeutic' level (about 3g or more depending upon body weight).
Perhaps the plan is to eliminate the use of the Ezact, which is somewhat dangerous and in my own experience with this class of drug (NSAIDs), they can actually do more harm than good, if not properly managed. folic acid is good, but odd higher than usual dosage (800mcg-1mg it typical). Great to take the calcium and vitD!
The fluid analysis is not usually helpful; please let us know what they have found out.
Since You had good results with the injection, it was certainly the right decision; nobody knows what will happen in future, but we do the best we can with the tools available to get ourselves comfortable.
HEALTH, John

I hope the injection has helped you by now. I have had a lot of them through the years with good results.
I am thinking of you.

Hi John/Possi, Thanks for posting. I was really not well so sometimes it got delayed to reply on proper times. John- Pus/fluid report doesn’t show any infections so looks like its fine. I saw Salfasalazine(Saaz-500mg) details and it says tablet is enteric coated. On the first day only I had relief but after that pain is still there at right knee specially the inside bone where injection was given and the just back side of the knee. When I asked Doc he said do ice piece scrolling on knee that will help in pain but its too not working So as of now I have to take 1 Ezact(90mg) in two parts, one in each day to get relief from pain, and less negative impact of this medicine on body. My weight is around 54kg and age: 33yrs. Possi- You said you had many of this injections in last yrs. Does you have those inside bone? Does they had xray before doing this on you ? Is pus/fluid also there? It’s given directly or after anesthesia first? Does you do not walk after taking injection, if yes how long? Sorry for asking you these much, but I feel certainly those will help me somewhere. Thanks for both of you in advance.

Raju,
I have had these injections in the facet joints and in trigger points. I have never had anesthesia. He has at times given me some Versed for relaxing and a pain medication. He does the injections under a scope.
I have had the injections in the muscle too.
The last time, he said the bone was so solid that he couldn't get the needle in any more and that was when I had surgery. That was in June.
I hope you get some relief.
