Hi Everyone!!!

Been going up North with the family every Labor Day weekend for years now to see the Music Concert at "Dave's Barn" called Fishstock. It is always a good show with plenty of variety and talent.

This was the first year in 3 years that I have been feeling well enough to attend. I only sat in my seat for about 40 minutes total, I was still able to see most of the show projected on the back of the old white barn. I was so happy not to miss out.

I was able to get up early one morning to sit at the picnic table and watch the sun rise on the eastern shore. It was nice to be able to do that again.

I did miss out on the family dominoes game and had to go to bed at 8:00.

It really was nice to be able to enjoy so much more than I have in the past. I seem to really appreciate the simple things so much more.

Little cooler weather here now...more pain than usual but overall trying to hold up. No more work end of October or sooner. Depends on the weather. I have enjoyed the sense of accomplishment but looking forward to less pain and going to the arthritis swimming class more.

Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected. smile

Hi Jeff- so sorry you had to miss out a little on a family event. Have you ever taken extra steroids for travel? I took extra Prednisone my last vacation and was glad I did so I could do a little more. It is ok too to take those rest breaks and enjoy the simple things. Glad you got to watch the beautiful sunset.

Hope your body adjusts soon to the cooler weather.

Shari

It's good to hear that you had a good time. Yep, the simple things become more precious every year.

((Jeff)) I am happy for you that you got to do what you did.
Even a little bit of normalcy is an accomplishment.

It sounds like a wonderful place and time with your family.
Now is for planning for next year. It helps me to look ahead and forward to things. That is why I like to plant flower bulbs every fall. It is the faith that they will rise out of the cold dark ground to a beautiful sunny sky making my day glorious.

Next year you will be out of this dark place of pain and fatigue and in the sunshine of your family reunion. I will pray with you for this. :o)

Blessings.

Hi Shari,

Thanks, No worry about cooler weather today, it's 94 degrees right now...hiding in the house with the AC on and all the shades pulled. I do bring prednisone but didn't use them this time. Feeling well enough and hate not being able to sleep at night. Hope you are doing well also. Thanks for the support!!! smile

Hi Sue

Had a wonderful time. The weather was cool and little humidity. We also didn't walk around much and visit the little shops...that was ok. We also grilled out at the cabin..easy peasy. Actually felt rested instead of worn out this vacation. Thanks Sue. Hope you are doing well with Humira. grin
