Changing Gut Bacteria through diet affects brain function. UCLA study shows

http://eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2013-05/uoc--cgb052813.php

Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year.

Interesting because I have decided to go back on Porridge today because I think NSD has a weird effect on me.

I`m usually completely unfazed by the world around me - cool as a starch free cucumber.

But on NSD I seem to get very edgy, heart palps, chest pain, stomach pain etc etc - I even wake up anxious.

I had my first bowl this morning and feel better already.

Of course I may pay for it in joint pain, but i need to find a balance.

Sorry to hear about the edgy feeling. I have heard of healing reactions at Gerson.org, when someone is healing on the inside they get grouchy and upset easily for a few days. I'm sure if you google "healing reaction gerson", you can read about it. I will try to find it for you.

Ok, I read the first few paragraphs but not the whole article, it is really long. Also here is someone's blog with AS that went through a healing reaction while on a juice fast as their AS was healing: http://farmerkskitchen.com/ks-reboot

Hope you feel better!

Great! I thought that I had improved my thoughts through discipline. It turns out that the gut impulses are more than intuition. Maybe my brain really is in my AS.

Wonderful post!
