I hope you are all having a glorious weekend. The weather is beautiful in Oklahoma. 80's which is kind of unbelievable for going in to July.

I got my staples out Friday. It doesn't feel as tight but is vey sore. I have 5 more days of antibiotic ointment and bandaging and 3 more weeks on no driving.

Of course, I overdid it again. After going to the dr. we made a trip to the "big box" store and out to lunch and to the Farmer's Market and then I went to bed for the rest of the day and yesterday.

The dr. said that most people come in at 2 weeks leaning on a walker, in their pj's and saying it hurts too much to wear the brace. I imagine they are smarter than I am.

The forum seems rather quiet. I guess we are getting in to the summer slow-down.

I think of each of you often and think how much I appreciate you. Your encouragement has been keeping me going for a long time.

Blessings.

Are you close to the fires? My sister has a summer home in an evacuated area. They haven't gone yet because kind of ridiculous to drive that far to stay in a shelter.

I am thinking of all of you there and all of the many people involved in fighting this fire.

Hugs and Blessings. Stay Safe. Stay Cool.

Hey Possi, so good to see you here! smile The other patients may be smarter, or they may just not be as tough as you are! But do remember to give yourself time to heal properly! Enjoy that lovely weather and take care of yourself!

Alright, I am going to do what I warned! I am coming down there! See, you made me do it! Ha ha, no really I am coming to Wichita July 27th for 3 weeks and you probably won't be able to travel far so I am going to see if my mother will take me down there and have an Okey Meetup with all my OK AS friends! You, Angelmom, Rumble and Greg if he wants to come to. What do you think?

I'm with the ones who say the 'others' don't deal with as much pain as you are used to constantly. They likely have only the back pain at the level of the surgery. We all know how tough you are. Wooo-hoo. Don't overdo it, dear. Haven't we had this discussion before?? LOL.

Pea, if you make it down to OKC to see Possi, I will try to come down there to see you both. Haven't seen Angelmom on here in forever and rarely on FB. (I don't work on Sunday or Monday, so those are my best days--LOL)

Oh how wonderful that will be. Everyone let's get our heads together and figure out where no one would have to drive so far.
We might could meet in Ponca City which is about equi-distance from OKC, Wichita and Tulsa. There is a good Mexican restaurant at the airport. I don't know where else we could meet in comfort but I will see what I can find.

Throw out your ideas about meeting places. I hope by then I can ride that far. Surely....

Exciting.

Wow, Possi, do you think you will up to that by then? That would be great. Let's do it then! I will PM everyone soon. Don't overdue it though or there will be no meeting up young lady!

I am "planning" on it. :o) I went to the hospital this a.m. to welcome the new baby and came home and cooked lunch and then I hit the wall and slept a couple of hours. Seriously Pea, I am doing so well. Can't say I don't hurt but nothing like I did before. It would be so fun to all be together.

Possi, please be careful to not overdo. I know you are feeling so much better then before, but if you do too much, you can go backward. Make sure that you get plenty of rest and leave some of the work for later. You want to be at your best to visit with the GGbaby.
