Thanks Donette - look forward to thoroughly checking that lot out. Noticed the magnesium angle, yes, do take that as well as a whole slew of other vits and supps.

That fresh ground flax seeds in plain yogurt is *yummy! Thoroughly recommend.

Thanks hon (((HUGS)))

Molly, thanks for the tips for husky driving, hopefully riding will have given me strong shoulders. We do lots of walking in Scotland and been to Aviemore/Cairngorms several times. We have been lucky enough to be there a few times when there was sufficient cover to cross country ski complete novices straightlines fine, turning uh no never quite got the hang of it.

Been away for the weekend

Fri eve swam 400m
Sat: 7 mile walk up mountain had the lot sun, mist, hail, rain and snow wonderful plus 400m eve swim
Sun: 8 mile walk up mountain (not enjoyed to start with one bit as too much Chardonnay consumed the night before in the hope of combating hidden starches in hotel food). Took me till almost the top to sweat it out!

Today stiff neck, must be from hauling the rucksack

NSD almost all the way
No dairy hard cheeses occasionally and homemade ghee
Still trying to work out what makes me tick and what makes me drop

Grumpally - third week Jan is the husky meet: the UK husky races. Huge fun. Most mushers - and dogs...stay at the Aviemore Hotel. It's brilliant - and sure do miss those times. We had such fun. I was a scrutineer for the Scottish Association - a couple of mushers had to be rescued once - wrapped themselves around trees! (they were hauled out by truck: were OK after a couple of nights in hospital!)

Yes, need strong shoulders - and knees to 'tread' the brake! If you google up : heck, here ya go gal :-

The hotel gets very booked up. IF wanting to attend then suggest booking now. One time I had to stay in a B&B in Aviemore itself - now, that was a nuisance. (Especially after a rip roaring 'Scottish' evening...<LOL>)

Fab to meet another musher enthusiast. clap woof

Thanks! they do look promising!

I think the local shoe store I checked out for other barefoot shoes might have a good chance of carrying them, as when I was there before they carried merrell and other good brands, plus the barefoot shoes.

Yesterday I walked a mile in them!
Today I swam 750 yds - but I didn't wear my shoes. smile
