If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

That hurts, badly. So shocked that I couldn't read. I could get my foot up there, but never with a straight leg.

Agree. It is becoming ever more clear to me that lots of the advise on exercises out there at best is aimed at those who are in the early stages of the conditions or otherwise have rather mild symptoms.

I couldn't agree with you more, kilroy...we couldn't move like that without hurting ourselves, they do know we have pain, stiffness, limited range of motion and joints that are permanently immobilized, right?

Michelle70605, I doubt they quite get it. Maybe at the early stages of AS one can still do such exercises. Or if it does not get aggressive. But when the first joint is fused such exercises will without doubt cause damage that might be permanent. I am happy for those who still not are, or will ever be, so bad that they cannot do this.

Oh well, we all have a list of things that we miss, I guess I'm just being nostalgic today... Take care and welcome to KA!!! Michelle

I long ago stopped even looking at any of the posted exercises because I came to the same conclusion. Rather offensive really, in addition to the exessively flexible models in the photos/diagrams, nobody even bothers to mention how to alter them for a fused spine. Maybe they don't think there's a point to doing stretches after fusion.

Thanks for the link, I love the motto "Life is 10% what it happens to you, And 90% how you respond to it." Once I got over the inital shock/anger I decided to get active too. I've worked my way up and now do kickboxing 4 days a week and swim too.
