Awesome documentary about synthetic biology for anyone who is interested.

Maybe this could lead to cures of diseases like AS? Who knows?

Disappointing that they give it a stupid title like 'Playing God', but still interesting!

Love BBC!

though some of the details not quite right and not thrilled with some of the analogies, interesting none-the-less.

just wish they had made it clear how synthetic biology is a progression from genetic engineering starting back in the late 60s, early 70s. for example, bacteria producing human insulin since the early 70s, revolutionized things back then as well. to me, this is just the next step after: genetic engineering, knockout mice, GM crops, etc. both impressive and in some cases controversial, though i've noticed over time, as people become accustomed, the controversy seems to die down.

thanks for posting the documentary smile
