If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

a little light snow shower in the early afternoon; a light coating of white on the ground, made the walk pretty. 30 degrees, but dropping; supposed to a high of 15 tomorrow. winter is here......for a day......then back up into the low to mid 30s after tomorrow.
walked, 1 mile, 30 minutes

Whew! It's been a rough 7 months but I did a small stint on my treadmill today. Whoopee! 10 minutes at 2.3mph because at 2.5mph my back thought it needed to have a spasm party. No bueno.
Baby steps.

hoping you get out of this terrible flare......and soon! you've been my inspiration, just wish what you've taught me would start working again for you: off of work the last 2 weeks, so sleeping more....... the days i sleep too long, i wake feeling a flare coming on, but i jump in the shower, then down the vitamin C and fish oil, get out for a walk (1-1.5 miles, whatever i can do, and on the bad days, i take my camera so i walk and stop and walk and stop and really pace myself), then come in and eat as much "antiinflammatory food" as i can think of, after about 6 hours of being up, i finally feel like the flare is being aborted...... then i go to sleep and the process repeats itself......... combatting this "naturally" sure is a lot of work! but i often think of you (and others) as i do the various tricks everyone here has taught me

Donette, My prayer is that you can keep on walking and get the flare on the run! I shoveled snow at the church for one hour, sunday afternoon. My back never did stop throbbing but it was such a bright clear day!!! I am trying to walk faster, because some days 20 minutes is all I can do no matter how fast i walked..
I keep the New Covenant, when I fail....I am pulled back into place by HIM.

Hi everybody. I have been flare free for 4 years 10 months +/-. It has been great. You can really enjoy the good times ONLY after you have had bad times. In my experience this is true.
I am so lucky to have had this time... But now a flare started to kick in on 31st December. 3 days in pain ow! Not at all serious but I have my fingers crossed to get back to the good old days of pain free living.
Erica- I am glad that you are out walking again... just have to enjoy the good times when you can....

Yay, and agreed! Now we need more snow, to have some great skiing days. Here, too! Whew! It's been a rough 7 months but I did a small stint on my treadmill today. Whoopee! 10 Baby steps. Baby steps are awesome! a little light snow shower in the early afternoon; a light coating of white on the ground, made the walk pretty. Pretty walks make it a bit easier, yes? Let's see, I did 84 laps in 58 minutes. Good job! I dunno about Tink. I heard from her recently, so I know she's okay. i did get on the floor with Emilee, she loves to crawl over and knock down the blocks I have stacked!! then we both laugh. I love that game! Yesterday I played with my 4 (almost 5) yr old grandson for 2 hours outside on a playground up in the Rockies. Today I swam ½ mile. Go TEAM!

yesterday: we never did get the lake effect snow that we were supposed to get (a dusting only instead of the 6+ inches we were in for) but it was COLD (10 degrees).
but bundled up well and walked with hubby. plus mostly sunny and no wind. so it really didn't feel that cold.
walked 1.5 miles, 30 minutes
