If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have read here somewhere that spices are starchy. Mada a monster mistake a few days ago... Have been nsd (though using betadine to test) for 3 weeks now and made a chicken dish rubbed with 5 teaspoons of different spices. Within a few hrs was feeling like it wasn't going to be a good night.. Was so off the next day I couldn't eat.. So nauseous during the day I had to go home and was out for 36 hrs in total. Spices tested ok with betadine but have just found a discussion on this. Will look for a better version of iodine.. Does this sound like a starch reaction?

It's scary that some stuff that test okay with Betadine can actually trigger a flare! And I thought iodine was supposed to be the safest, most reliable measure for weeding out starch!
Lately I've been testing fruits and most that are mentioned as starchy on the forum don't show starch in the test, especially imported fruits that I know were harvested early!
I am also using Betadine. It's a dark brown color. Is that also the color of your Betadine? I wonder if it's only good for obvious high-starch foods that we don't need to test anyway.

I think I have some Betadine as well as my trusty iodine.
I will try to do some comparative testing for you over the holiday break!

I t really does, I'm so glad I found the Kickers!
Iritis first diagnosed in 1991, presently recurrent and steroid resistant. Tested HLA B27 positive in 1996. AS diagnosed October of 2011.
Putting most of my eggs in the NSD and exercise basket, using only TENS, massage, heat and ice, and NSAIDS (sparingly) for pain. Drops for iritis as flare necessitates. Looking back I feel I would have been diagnosed with AS years ago, if I had found a rheumy earlier than 2011.
