I've missed something! Where are you? Sounds lovely! yes

Today I did 20km in 30mins 33seconds on the bike and 4.2km in 27mins jogging more or less. It was sharp sweet and very much worth it.

I live in the Canary Islands. They are officially part of Spain but really geographically they are closer to North West Africa. Life is pretty nice here all in all.

busy with finals week, but working mostly at home, so able to go for walks most days. yes

monday: walked at dusk in the drizzly rain to start. pretty warm though. just as i was stepping out, 3 deer ran across the road, into our yard, down the hedgerow, right in front of me; always a joy to see. got pretty dark as it was so overcast. cut my walk short as it started raining a bit harder toward the end, but mostly cause i heard the low rumble of distant thunder. good thing as we had lightning very nearby a bit later. walked 1 mile, 20 min.

tuesday: hubby and i walked at dusk again. a nice late afternoon for a walk. pretty warm once more. sun peaking out too after an overcast day. walked 1.5 miles, 40 minutes.

wednesday: knew it was going to be a busy day at work. but didn't have to be there til noon. woke at 6 am to finish making the metabolism exam. finished by 10 am. out for a quick walk, then got ready for work. a nice way to start the day. if i were a morning person, i'd do this more often. a little cooler and crisp. nice morning walk. walked 1 mile, 20 minutes.

this morning, had to get up early to give the 8 am exam. bent over to pick something up or set something down. tweaked my SI. now lower back spasms. no walk today. bummer. no

I am walking every day,
ocasionally riding a stationary bike also.
doing range of motion with moderate weights at the rec center.

stumbling around things, bumping things over, but generally enjoying life.

A four year old grabbed me after his class, before church and told me about his sunday lesson, showing me the pictures and what they meant. I finally had to tell him I had to go up stairs. I count it as a blessing to have the little ones grab me by the hand and talk to me. Yea, I have trouble getting back up off the floor or out of the chair, but really is something to celebrate.
